In 2026 Kyung Hee set an earlier deadline for one term for applicants from designated countries. Check whether it does the same for 2027.

What you need to apply

Money

Two copies of a bank certificate of KRW 10,000,000 or more, issued within 30 days of the deadline. Bank statements aren't accepted.

Education

High school completed. GED, homeschooling, expected graduates and provisional certificates aren't accepted.

Family and income

All applicants send a family relationship certificate and a parent's employment or income certificate (mainland China has its own list).

Designated countries

Applicants from 21 countries designated by the Minister of Justice, including Nepal, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Mongolia and Nigeria, also send ID copies for themselves and their parents.

Health

TB and measles documents are required.

Housing

University-managed dorms, apply on the application form, not guaranteed: Changdeokan single KRW 2,450,000 or double 1,450,000 per term; Richville single 2,100,000.

Route to a degree

We didn't find a formal admission benefit at Kyung Hee for language students. See our Kyung Hee guide for degree admission.

Refunds

Refunds follow Korea's Lifelong Education Act; the application fee isn't refunded and you must return the certificate of admission. No specific visa-refusal rule.

Our view

What this really means

The most activity-rich program here. Its Spring term starts latest (Mar 29), which leaves a little more time for the visa after admission, though the application deadline (Jan 22) is no later than elsewhere. Two terms are paid up front.
