Language: apply now, meet the standard later
For most majors there's no language score needed to apply. But to start your degree, you need one of these:
| Standard to start classes | Notes |
|---|---|
| TOPIK 4 or higher | TOPIK 3 for design, applied music, and game contents & animation |
| Level 4 at CAU's Korean program | |
| Level 5 at another IEQAS-certified university | Only at the time of admission |
| King Sejong Institute Intermediate 2 or higher | Only at the time of admission |
What this really means
If you're admitted without the standard, you pay both tuition and the Korean program fee, take a leave of absence straight away, and study Korean on a D-4 language visa until you pass. The first six months are at the Da Vinci campus in Anseong, outside Seoul. Budget for that time before you start your degree.
Majors made for international students

Global Advertising & PR

20% to 100%
From the second semester
By last semester's GPA: 4.3 or higher waives tuition, 4.0 gives 50%, 3.7 gives 30% and 3.2 gives 20%.
Is Chung-Ang a good fit for you?
A strong fit for media, business, engineering or the arts in Seoul, with flexible timing and two choices per application.
Still possible for March 2027: round 2 opens Nov 16, and no score is needed to apply for most majors.
Think twice if you became a foreign citizen after starting elementary school, or can't afford extra time in the Korean program.
